We all know that personal, face-to-face contact (and lots of hugs!) creates the best environment for nurturing loving relationships. The COVID-19 restrictions that are currently in place in Pennsylvania make it difficult for patients who may not quite understand what is going on. Older folks, especially those with Alzheimer’s and dementia issues, suffer most from isolation and fear.
From the beginning, Bristol House has always put resident, visitor, and employee safety first. We want residents and visitors to interact as much as possible; therefore, we have set up an outdoor space — a tent, table, and chairs — where residents and their families can sit and visit, keeping in line with social distancing restrictions. The area is strictly sanitized, and hand sanitizer dispensers are front-and-center. We desire our residents to be comfortable, safe, and secure, and able to share those face-to-face moments with their loved ones.
The mission of Bristol House Memory Care is to provide excellent care to residents and offer peace-of-mind to family members. Our vision is to be the memory care community of choice for families affected with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. In the spirit of open communication, we work together with families to create a culture at Bristol House Memory Care based on respect and dignity for all individuals. Our expertise in advanced care practices and commitment to ongoing training ensures that we will provide unsurpassed quality of care.
